Essex v Middlesex

I had only time for the first innings of this match, when I found myself passing through Chelmsford during my Summer of 2025 Around The Coast Trip. Essex toiled to reach a modest 159/9 in their allocated 20 overs, with captain Simon Harmer top scoring with 41.
Things had begun well enough, as openers Adam Rossington and Dean Elgar compiled a not too shabby partnership of 60, before the former fell in the 6th over. Thereafter a string of single figure wickets fell, leaving the home side on 78/6 at one point, before Harmer's late knock attained some level of respectability.
However, as it later transpired, the tally was nowhere near sufficient to trouble Middlesex, who reached their target with 15 balls to spare.

I managed to catch Ben Geddes catching Simon Harmer (if you see what I mean).
