Aberystwyth Town

Aberystwyth Town FC, so I learned recently, are the only current Cymru Premier club from the Welsh county of Ceredigion.  They were founder members of the Cymru Premier (or League of Wales, as it was then know), back in 1992.  Town finished a creditable third in that inaugural season, an achievement which has proved thus far to represent the high water mark as far as the club's league placings are concerned.

That being said, as of 2021, the club can point to the fact they are one of only two (the other being Newtown) who have been ever present in the league - both clubs being both founder members of the Welsh League, and never having suffered relegation.

Aberystwyth Town's sole Welsh Cup win came way back in 1900, although there have been three losing finals since 2008.

A couple of ties in the Intertoto Cup aside, they have only once competed in the Europe - where they lost to Derry Town 9-0 on aggregate, during season 2014/15.

Home, since 1907 has been the the Aberystwyth University Stadium (more generally known as Park View).

Aberystwyth Town's Park Avenue sits alongside the Afon Rheidol
